How do promo prices and coupon codes work?
Limited-time promotions apply automatically; coupon codes are entered at checkout. Both discount your first billing period only.
Plot Party runs two kinds of discounts: limited-time promotions that apply automatically, and coupon codes you enter yourself. Both are applied at checkout through Stripe, our payment processor.
Promotions
When a promotion is running you will see a banner or pop-up in the app, and the plan cards show the regular price crossed out next to the promo price, a discount badge and a countdown to when the offer ends.
- Promotions target specific plans and billing terms. Only the cards with a crossed-out price are discounted.
- Some offers are reserved for new accounts and the countdown starts from the moment you sign up. Others run until a fixed end date.
- If you are eligible, the discount is applied automatically at checkout. You do not need a code.
Coupon codes
Enter your code in the Coupon code field in the plan dialog. A valid code shows a discount tag on the plan cards and is applied when you check out. Expired or unknown codes are rejected on the spot.
What is discounted
- Promo prices and coupons apply to your first billing period only: the first month on monthly billing, or the first year on annual billing. From the next renewal you pay the regular price shown on the pricing page.
- Discounts cannot be combined. If you enter a coupon code it takes priority over any automatic promotion. Clear the code field to use the automatic promotion instead.
- Discounts apply to new subscriptions and upgrades at checkout. They cannot be applied to a payment that has already been made.
Offers when you cancel
If you are on a monthly plan and cancel for the first time, we may offer a one-time discount on your next month instead. This offer appears during the cancellation flow and is available once per account.
