What are Plot Points and how are they spent?
Plot Points are the credits that pay for every generation. Learn how the cost is calculated, where to see it before you generate, and how to read your balance and history.
Plot Points are the credits that power everything you generate on Plot Party. Every image, video, voice line or agent step costs a number of Plot Points, which is taken from your balance the moment the task is accepted.
How much does a generation cost?
The price depends on what you ask for:
- The model. Each model has its own price. Premium models cost more than standard ones, and some models run a discounted price for a limited time.
- Length. Video models are priced per second, so a 10-second clip costs twice as much as a 5-second one. Multi-shot videos add up the length of every shot.
- Resolution. Higher output resolutions multiply the base price.
- Quantity. Generating several images or variations in one go multiplies the price by the count.
- Extras. Options such as attaching reference assets add a small surcharge on some models.
You never have to guess. On the Generate page the button shows the exact number of Plot Points before you click it, and it updates as you change the model, duration or resolution. When a model is discounted, the regular price is shown crossed out next to the discounted one. The server does the final calculation, so the number you see is what you are charged.
Checking your balance
Your current balance is always visible in the header. Click it to open the account menu, where you can see:
- Your available Plot Points and, on paid plans, your plan.
- A notice when some of your points are about to expire. See where Plot Points come from and when they expire.
- Credit History, a list of every change to your balance.
- Payment Records, your subscription and Booster payments.
Reading your Credit History
Each entry shows what changed your balance, by how much and when. Charges appear as a negative amount with the name of the model you used. Additions appear as a positive amount, and for points that expire the entry also shows the date they expire. Refunds for failed generations appear here too, see refunds for failed generations.
Running out
If a generation costs more than you have, it is stopped before it starts and you are asked to upgrade your plan or buy a Booster. Nothing is charged for a generation that could not run. To add points, see free ways to earn Plot Points, Boosters or the pricing page.
